tirn technology, a Provider of a Zero-Emission Bus Simulation Service, Launches Cooperation with SKAND Skalica to Help Efficiently Decarbonize SKAND’s Bus Fleet
Slovakia, Trnava | 19.05.2022 – tirn technology has been recently selected to be part of the EU-wide HUBCAP program. In this program, tirn technology cooperates with SKAND Skalica to provide its zero-emission bus (ZEB) simulation service to efficiently decarbonize bus transportation, easily handle the fleet transition, and comply with legislation.
In addition, tirn technology ZEB simulator identifies the optimal bus model, powertrain, energy storage technology, the charging infrastructure, and its requirements. This technology provides SKAND predictions of the total cost of ownership and CO2 reduction.
tirn technology and SKAND are both Slovak companies sharing the same goal to decarbonize public transportation.
“SKAND is a public transport operator with a long tradition and an innovative spirit. We are excited to kick off this pilot project as we believe that a company with a long history, such as ours, and technology startups, such as tirn technology, ideally complement each other to work together on innovative services, enabling the use of novel services and tools also for other bus operators.” – Lukáš Tisoň (CEO of SKAND Skalica spol s.r.o.)
“We are excited to launch a project in our home region with SKAND which brings insights and experience from public transportation and understands the industry challenges. At tirn technology, we look forward to working closely with SKAND to build long-term relationships and design the ideal operation performed by zero-emission buses” – Juraj Majera (CEO of tirn technology)

About tirn technology
The adoption of electric buses across municipalities around the world is not happening fast enough. We would love to change that!
Our vision at tirn technology is to create an easy and ready-to-use simulation software for collaboration between operators and manufacturers by using the current possibilities of A.I., publicly available relevant data, and modern simulation models to shape the future of electric mobility faster.
Our platform zero-emission bus (ZEB) simulator identifies the optimal bus model, powertrain, energy storage technology, the charging infrastructure, and its requirements. This provides the users with better predictions of the total cost of ownership and CO2 reduction.
tirn technology has won a pilot project announced by Tusgsal and EIT Urban Mobility in search of an innovative solution to collaborate with Tusgsal on its way to decarbonize public transport in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.
tirn technology CEO Juraj Majera gives a keynote at the IT-TRANS conference in Germany. He talks about the importance of decarbonizing public transport and how tirn technology is accelerating this transition with their software solution, the Zero-Emission Bus Simulator.
tirn technology’s Zero-Emission Bus Simulatory became the winner of the second year of the Shine program.
